Sunshine Coast Escape Holiday House - Terms & Conditions

The terms and conditions outlined below are designed to protect and benefit all of our guests staying at Sunshine Coast Escape pet friendly holiday House. In particular, the terms and conditions attempt to ensure that the booking process is straight forward to avoid disappointment and that the condition of the house are kept to a high standard to benefit all of our guests.

 

Driftwood Coolum Holiday House

Holiday house rental rates vary throughout the year and prior to booking confirmation are subject to change without notice.

Holiday house rental rates are weekly from Saturday to Saturday. Check in time is Saturday from 2.00pm onwards and check out time is 10.00am the following Saturday.

Rates shown are based on 3 - 6 guests. Additional guests are charged an extra $20 per person per night. 5% discount given for couples providing only one bedroom is used.

Linen & towels can be hired if required at a cost of $35.00 per king or queen bed and $25.00 per single bed.

We reserve the right to decline any booking requests within 5 days of receipt of your booking.

Payment

A deposit of $300 per week booked ($500 in Peak Periods) is required within 3 days when booking your stay at Sunshine Coast Escape. Payment can be made by cheque, money order or via Direct Deposit eg. Internet Banking or over the counter at any Suncorp Branch. At this stage we do not take credit card payments. If we do not receive your deposit within 3 days Sunshine Coast Escape reserves the right to cancel your booking.

Please ensure that you have read and that you agree to all of the terms and conditions before paying your deposit.

A bond of $300 ($500 in Peak Periods) is also required when paying the balance of your payment. This bond will be refunded to you in full on return of the keys, provided the condition of the house and grounds are left in the same condition as you found them on your arrival.

We allow 4 hours for Driftwood Coolum, between bookings for our cleaners to prepare the house for our next guests. In the unlikely event that cleaners require extra time to return the property to the same standard as you found it when you arrived, it will be deducted from the bond at $20.00 per cleaner per hour.

If it is necessary to repair any damage caused by you or your pet, this will also be deducted from the bond.

Balance of Payment

The balance of your payment is due 30 days (42 days in Peak Periods) prior to your arrival date.

Directions and check in details will be forwarded to you once we have received the balance of your payment, including the bond.

If the final payment and bond are not received by the due date, Sunshine Coast Escape reserves the right to cancel the booking.

Confirmation of Bookings

Upon receipt of your booking request we will send you an email confirmation including details for paying your deposit, the remaining balance and any other relevant information.

Booking is on a first come, first served basis and a booking is not considered firm until we have received the deposit.

The number of guests must not exceed the number of persons shown on your original booking form. Any increase in numbers must be agreed in advance and may incur an additional fee.

 

Cancellations

The following applies in the event that you need to cancel your booking. It may be advisable to consider travel insurance to compensate for any loss of deposit.

  • up to 28 days notice before arrival date ~ loss of deposit. (Deposit will be refunded if new tenants can be found, minus a $100 administration fee).
  • from 28 days before the arrival date ~ no refund. (Unless new tenants can be found, minus a $100 administration fee).

Pets

Your dogs are welcome in the house if they are clean and well behaved. We ask that you keep your pets off the beds and furniture. The tenants will be held responsible for the cost, if it is necessary to repair any damage caused by their pets. Please treat your dogs for fleas before your visit and confirm their vaccinations are up to date.

Dogs are not permitted to swim in the pool and please for their own safety, do not leave your dogs unattended in the pool area.

We also ask guests to clean up after your dogs in the yard (doggie bags are provided). Please also hose off your dogs paws and dry them after your trips to the beach if you intend to let them inside. We also suggest that you bring your own dog towels for your return trips to the beach, do not use the house towels please.

If you have more than 2 dogs or any special animals you wish to take on holiday please ask for written approval before booking.

General Conditions

The following conditions also apply:

  • Only the number of guests agreed to in the booking are allowed to stay unless prior approval has been granted by us in writing.
  • Inside the house is a non-smoking area, you may smoke on the patio, but please use the ashtrays provided.
  • No parties or functions are allowed.
  • Normal residential noise limits apply. Please respect our neighbours at all times and keep noise levels and barking dogs to a minimum.
  • Any breakages, damage, loss or theft are the tenant’s responsibility during their stay.
  • The owners take no responsibility for the theft or loss of tenant's property.

    Any abuse of these conditions may result in termination of tenancy and/or loss of bond

Unforeseeable Events

We ask that you make us aware of any problems you may encounter immediately to minimize your discomfort. All information and relevant contact numbers can be found in the Sunshine Coast Escape folder which is located near the telephone for your convenience.
